Product Overview:
MITSU Polyglactin 910 is a mid-term absorbable, braided, and coated synthetic suture made from a copolymer of 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. It degrades through hydrolysis, ensuring predictable and reliable absorption.
Composition and Coating:
MITSU™ sutures are made from poly(glycolide-co-l-lactide), coated with a blend of glycolide, lactide, and calcium stearate. The copolymer formula is (C2H2O2)m (C3H4O2)n (C36H70O4Ca), providing non-pyrogenic properties.
Variety:
Available in both dyed (D&C Violet No. 2) and undyed forms, these sutures come in a wide range of sizes and lengths, with stainless steel needles in various types and dimensions. MITSU™ meets USP and European Pharmacopeia standards for absorbable, sterile braided sutures.
Performance:
MITSU polyglactin 910 sutures are designed to minimize tissue inflammation, promote fibrous tissue growth, and gradually lose tensile strength through absorption. They retain 75% tensile strength for 14 days, 40-50% for 21 days, and 24% for 28 days. Complete absorption typically occurs between 56 to 75 days.
Key Features:
-
High-quality material for consistent performance and reliability.
